Let’s talk about fundamental rights!

Making the world a better place – what could be more important?

History shows that people fought long and hard for peace, freedom and justice before these became fundamental rights for all. Today, these rights are considered the foundation of prosperity and democracy in the Western world – yet they still seem to be under threat. What is the current state of our fundamental rights? What can we learn from history to help preserve them in the future?

This session will feature excerpts from the three-part Terra X documentary series, 'What Makes the World a Better Place: Peace, Freedom, Justice'. This will be followed by a discussion with Terra X host and science journalist Mirko Drotschmann (MrWissen2go), in which he will answer students' questions on the topic.
