Who is in power of our health data and gets to decide what happens to it?

Your digital twin knows everything about you: lab results, sleep patterns, steps taken, genetic information. It simulates the progression of diseases, recommends treatments, and calculates risks. But who actually decides what data it collects and who is allowed to access it? Your primary care physician’s office, your health insurance provider, or your employer?

At the mobile Data Café hosted by Fraunhofer IESE and ITAS (KIT), you’ll create your own twin in just a few minutes: You’ll sketch your body outline, decide which health data it’s allowed to collect, and what remains private. Then, using real-world research scenarios, you’ll discuss the uncomfortable cases. For example, should your twin inform your family about early signs of dementia?

Drop in anytime—it takes 5 to 10 minutes, and no prior knowledge is required. The result will be a gallery of digital twins and perspectives that will contribute to the debate on responsible technology design.
