Opportunities and Challenges in Gender Medicine

Why are some diseases diagnosed later in women? Symptoms are perceived differently, diagnoses are made with varying frequency, and treatments do not work the same way for everyone. Gender medicine aims to better understand these differences and help make health care more equitable.

Karsten Möbius from “Die Großen Fragen in 10 Minuten” speaks with experts about new findings from research and practice. Together, they discuss the progress gender medicine has already enabled, the challenges that remain, and what a gender-sensitive medicine of the future might look like. The audience is invited to participate in the discussion by sharing questions and experiences.
