What if a barrier is invisible—but still determines access to quality medical care?

Not every barrier has a ramp, a door, or a sign. Some are hidden in devices, language, spaces, or digital applications. For people with disabilities or chronic illnesses, these barriers can make navigating the healthcare system more difficult.

“Invisible Barriers” makes these experiences visible and tangible. In collaboration with those affected and artists, images, sounds, projections, and interactive works were created that show where our healthcare system excludes people—and how it can become more accessible to everyone.

The exhibition is on view in Regensburg and will also be presented in part at the SILBERSALZ Festival in Halle (Saale).
