Future Technicians wanted! 

Step into the Utopikum and explore possible and impossible, thinkable and unthinkable futures. In this retro-futuristic lab you become a future technician yourself, tinkering with objects of the past to design visions of tomorrow. 

With the help of complex apparatuses, machine brains, present-day scanners and personalization consoles, we send you on a journey through space and time. Your personal punch card is the starting point: it stores your future fragment, makes it accessible in the Utopia Archive, and stays with you after the festival as a souvenir of your research. 

In a playful and interactive way you can experiment, adjust your inputs and watch how small ideas turn into personal visions of the future. All contributions are collected in the Utopia Archive and displayed on screens for visitors on site. 

In this way, a collective space of possibilities emerges at Utopikum, making one thing clear: the future is not fixed, but a network of many voices, ideas and hopes. There is not just one, but many visions of the future.
